Hello my dear readers,
I’m writing a post on this blog after a very long interval and I’m very excited to announce this new series.
I’ll post reviews of the books I’d read during the month. I’m targeting for at least one review per month, but not exceeding three (I can’t possibly read three/month).
Why am I doing this?
I loved reading since I was a kid. But I couldn’t read a book completely before jumping on to the next. So my new year resolution was to complete at least one book a month (inspired by Mark Zuckerberg’s A Year of Books challenge). Although I couldn’t complete the challenge for January, I’m all set for this month.
I felt that by announcing my reading challenge publicly, I’ll be urged to complete it.
What’s in it for you?
So what’s your take on this? If you’re a book lover like me, you’ll definitely love to follow this series (I hope).
Also, if this series gets considerable recognition, I’ll be hosting a giveaway of the book I review in the month.
Why should we read books?
Well, because my favorite character Tyrion Lannister said that 😉
10 Benefits of Reading: Why You Should Read Every Day – This post on LifeHack provides some compelling reasons to read books regularly. You might be tempted to say that you read articles in internet regularly. But they often lack the depth and research made into writing a book.
This month’s target
I’m planning to complete Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone this month. So expect a review of that book at the end of this month.
